A Home For Living

When searching for a property, most homebuyers look for three key things; location, comfort and size. Here at Countryside, we aim to provide all three! How? Through carefully researched areas, well thought-out layouts and plenty of added extras as part of our enhanced specification. After all, a home is where life happens, especially for our latest customers who have bought a new home in the Midlands…

Surrounded by a number of parks, it was the location that attracted first time buyers Alex Moulton (32) and her fiance, Matthew Priest (28) to our Galton Lock development, with the view from the Juliette balcony in the Tamar home sealing the deal.

Alex commented: “When we originally started looking we went to Countryside’s Regis Park development but, as that was sold out, they recommended Galton Lock. I saw the canal first and loved it! I just knew this was where I wanted to live.

“The layout of the Tamar, with the living room on the first floor, means we have a great view over the canal and I love how the balcony windows really open up the room and allow us to see more of our beautiful surroundings.”

The Tamar is a three-storey home featuring four bedrooms, Juliette balconies in both the living room and spacious master bedroom that boasts an ensuite, complete with Porcelanosa tiles and vanity unit. On the ground floor is a fully fitted kitchen/dining area with integrated appliances, skylight windows and French doors.

Alex continued: “We bought the Tamar off-plan, as the showhome had not been built when we went to view the development. After seeing the plans, we knew it would be spacious but when we saw our home complete, it really exceeded expectations. The specification was also to a higher level than we expected, with what we’d considered luxury features included as part of the price. Our home has been built to an impeccable standard, right down to the garden and driveway that can fit four cars comfortably.”

First time buyers Alex and Matthew used the Government’s 5% deposit Help to Buy scheme to make it more affordable for them to buy their dream property. Being able to move in to their new home just six months after they started house hunting, the easy access to Birmingham and being halfway between Alex and Matthew’s workplaces made Galton Lock the perfect place to buy their first home.

Alex added: “We had both been saving in a Help to Buy ISA for a couple of years and as we both had one, it meant we were able to save what we needed in half the amount of time. The sales team were really friendly and helpful, and buying our home through Help to Buy meant we could buy the home we really wanted, with the views we love.”
