Deal or no deal: what’s on your house hunting list?
What’s on your ‘perfect property’ checklist? We surveyed the nation’s house hunters to uncover what you’re REALLY looking for when it comes to your dream home. As expected, affordability is number one but you might be surprised by the other top ‘deal-breakers’…
We asked you what your top priorities are when it comes to buying a new home and a whopping 75% of you stated that affordability is key. The next priority? Natural light. In fact, one third stated that large windows and big, bright open spaces are an absolute necessity when looking for your dream home.
Natural lighting is an important factor in everyday life. It’s even been proven to have a calming and peaceful effect on people’s moods and emotions, hence why so many of you place it in the top two priorities when house hunting.
Stunning skylight windows, beautiful bay windows and stylish French doors feature prominently in all our homes to increase natural light, whilst injecting added style into each and every room.
Swooping in at number three is location, with proximity to work (27%) and a highly rated school (26%) being identified as key considerations. We also understand that it’s important to have good transport links, which is why we hand select the location of each development based not only on nearby schools and amenities, but also accessibility to major cities and distance from motorway networks. Thus ensuring we create long-lasting communities that people will love for years to come.
Finally, one in five house hunters admitted that a property with fitted kitchen gadgets is a ‘must-have’ when buying a new home. Young families in particular are attracted to the convenience of our new homes, which boast one of the best STANDARD specifications available.
With the majority of housebuilders, there are a number of additional key costs to consider when choosing a new property and whilst ‘extras’ like flooring, garden fences and even grass, come at a price with other developers, we pride ourselves on handing over the keys to a home that has all the extras included and more.
Our ‘New Homes With WOW’ initiative really sets us apart from other developers and can save buyers around £4,000 in upgrades if they were to purchase a new property of a similar specification. Buyers can not only choose their own Porcelanosa tiling, but our homes also come with fully integrated appliances such as fridge-freezers and double ovens*, chrome spot lights, digital intruder alarms, USB sockets, bathroom vanity units with mirrors and turfed and fenced gardens to name but a few.
All of our homes are available to buy through a number of helpful schemes to suit a range of different circumstances, including Part Exchange, Assisted Move and Help to Buy, which enables you to secure the home of your dreams with just a 5% deposit. Take a look around our homes today to find what you’ve been looking for.
